MESCO Pune recruitment 2026: seven contract posts at the Maharashtra Ex-Servicemen Corporation, including two clerks in Pune; apply by 30 October

The Maharashtra Ex-Servicemen Corporation Ltd (MESCO), a Government of Maharashtra undertaking headquartered in Pune, is hiring for seven posts on contract. Two notices dated 17 October 2026 are on its website. The first covers six posts (manager, clerk and MESCO supervisor) for ex-servicemen of the armed forces and their dependants. The second is for one administration consultant, a post meant for an officer retired from Maharashtra government service. The last date for applications under both notices is 30 October 2026.

The posts and where they are

• Manager: 2 posts (Malad 1, Latur 1)
• Clerk: 3 posts (Pune 2, Mumbai 1)
• MESCO Supervisor: 1 post (Jalna)
• Administration Consultant: 1 post (Mumbai)

Who can apply

• Manager: an ex-serviceman who, at retirement, had at least five years as a Major, Lieutenant Colonel or Colonel, or the Navy or Air Force equivalent. Must be a graduate and must produce a Class 10 mark sheet showing Marathi as a subject. Applicants under 58 get preference.
• Clerk: a retired JCO or other rank (OR) of the armed forces aged up to 58. The limit is 55 for widows and war widows, and 35 for wives and dependants of ex-servicemen. Basic accounting, MS Office and Marathi and English typing are expected, with a certificate. Clerical experience gets preference.
• MESCO Supervisor: a retired JCO or equivalent rank aged up to 58 (the English notice says JCO/OR).
• For all three of these posts: the ability to speak, read and write Marathi, physical fitness and a Maharashtra domicile.
• Administration Consultant: retired from Maharashtra government service as an Administrative Officer, Section Officer, Under Secretary or equivalent, living within the Mumbai municipal corporation limits and no older than 65. Computer typing in Marathi and English, email and e-tendering, ministry correspondence and experience of suspension, recruitment, dismissal and departmental inquiries under the Maharashtra Civil Services rules are expected.

Pay and length of contract

• Manager, clerk and supervisor: pay as per MESCO’s rules; the notice does not state an amount. The contract runs 335 days (11 months).
• Administration Consultant: pay under a June 2025 government resolution of the General Administration Department. The contract runs three months at first, six at most.
• All the posts are temporary and give no claim to a permanent job or to regularisation. If work is found unsatisfactory, the contract can be ended with a month’s notice.
• Applicants must not face a departmental inquiry or a registered police case.
• For the ex-servicemen’s posts, preference goes to those not already resettled with MESCO or the government after leaving the forces, and to those under 58.

There is no online portal. Fill in the prescribed form attached to the notice (Appendix A), paste a signed photograph, attach the documents and send it by email, by post or in person by 30 October 2026. Applications that arrive later will not be considered. The address depends on the post:
