Manora: The body of a 25-year-old man from Umri was found on Friday, October 9, in a newly plotted area of Sevalal Nagar near Pohradevi, off the road from Vasantnagar to Singad. The discovery caused a stir in the area.

The young man had not returned home since the night of Thursday, October 8. His relatives learnt of the body by phone at about 8 am on Friday and rushed to the spot. Manora police went to the scene and drew up a panchnama, and a relative of the dead man has lodged a complaint with the police.

The condition of the body suggested that wild animals may have injured it. But there is no official word yet on whether he died in an animal attack or the body was damaged after death. The exact cause and circumstances of the death will become clear only through the investigation, Deshonnati reported. Police are investigating further.
