Nandurbar: The parties of the Maha Vikas Aghadi marched in Nandurbar on Friday, October 9, alleging that voters' names are being deleted through the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. They gave the collector a memorandum with several demands, including action against chief election commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.

The memorandum alleges that the chief election commissioner began deleting names without taking the other election commissioners into confidence. Alleging that lakhs of names were deleted in West Bengal and Bihar, and that 47 lakh votes were added in Maharashtra's 2024 assembly election, it demanded a thorough inquiry and a transparent election process.

The march began at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Natya Mandir and went via Andhare Chowk, Shastri Market and Hat Darwaja to the Nehru statue, where it ended. Office-bearers and workers of the Congress, the Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) and the NCP took part in large numbers.

Leaders present included former minister Padmakar Valvi, Congress district president Deepak Patel, Shiv Sena (UBT) district chief Arun Chaudhari and NCP district president Nilesh Patil.
