Kolhapur: The Mahayuti's Chhatrapati Shahu Shetkari Vikas Aghadi launched its campaign and released its manifesto for the Gokul dairy union election on Sunday, October 11. The manifesto promises an increase of ₹7 a litre for buffalo milk and ₹3 for cow milk.

Medical education minister Hasan Mushrif said that although a ₹2 increase had been promised, the three outgoing chairmen now in the alliance had raised the price of buffalo milk by ₹16 and cow milk by ₹12 over the past five years. Given that record, he had no doubt the union would raise buffalo milk by ₹20 and cow milk by ₹15 over the next five years, he claimed. He also said a ₹20,000 subsidy for artificial insemination would be given through the district bank.

Higher and technical education minister Chandrakant Patil responded to the opposition's charge that the Mahayuti's decisions are taken in Mumbai, saying that when the MVA was in power the panel had been formed through then chief minister Uddhav Thackeray. He appealed for a uniform vote for the whole panel.

Jan Surajya Shakti founder and MLA Vinay Kore spoke on the dairy business, saying Gokul had earned its reputation through good management while the state's apex body Mahanand had shut down. Guardian minister Prakash Abitkar said the opposition was making personal attacks on social media and urged workers not to be swayed and to work hard for the next ten days.
