Parbhani: The Election Commission of India has announced a revised schedule for filing and settling claims and objections under the special intensive revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, which uses October 1 as the qualifying date. Voters can now file their claims and objections until Monday, October 12.

The notice period and the disposal of claims and objections will be completed by November 10, and the final electoral roll will be published on November 16. All recognised political parties in Selu taluka, part of the Jintur assembly constituency, have been informed. The revised schedule, the facility to file claims and objections and other voter services are available on the website of the chief electoral officer's office.

The revision is carried out with the participation of voters, political parties and the election machinery, and eligible citizens are expected to check their entries and, if needed, register, correct their details or file claims and objections. New registration and updating of details are available on the Election Commission's voter services portal.
