Jalgaon: Central Railway has decided that three trains which were to run only up to Dadar during the 75-day block from October 1 to December 15 for redevelopment work at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) will run to CSMT again. They include the Amravati-Mumbai Express, which runs via Jalgaon.

In the first phase of the redevelopment, work is under way on platforms 14 and 15 and stabling line 15 at CSMT. A special traffic and power block was taken to complete it safely, and some long-distance trains were therefore planned to end their journeys at Dadar.

But passengers getting off at Dadar would have had to find other transport, spending extra money and time, so the railway has changed its decision and the three trains will run to CSMT even during the block. Passengers from Jalgaon can now reach the main terminus directly.

As schedules may change while the redevelopment continues, passengers have been advised to check the latest timings and stops on Central Railway's official website before travelling.
