Mumbai: Central Railway's Mumbai division is carrying out maintenance and safety work on its main and Harbour lines today, Sunday, and local train passengers should expect disruption between about 11 am and 5 pm.

On the main line, the up and down slow lines between Matunga and Mulund are blocked from 11.05 am to 3.55 pm. Slow locals will run on the fast lines in this period and halt at Sion, Kurla, Ghatkopar, Vikhroli, Bhandup and Mulund. Some services will be cancelled and others are expected to run 15 to 25 minutes late.

On the Harbour line, no trains will run between CSMT and Chunabhatti/Bandra on the down line from 11.40 am to 4.40 pm, or on the up line from 11.10 am to 4.10 pm. Locals between CSMT and Vashi, Belapur and Panvel, and between CSMT and Bandra and Goregaon, are cancelled in both directions during the block. Special locals will run every 20 minutes between Panvel and Kurla (platform 8), and Harbour line passengers may travel by the main line and Western Railway between 10 am and 6 pm. Trans-Harbour and Belapur–Uran services will run as usual.

There is no daytime block on Western Railway. Its night block, on the fast lines in both directions between Mahim and Mumbai Central, was scheduled for 12.50 am to 4.25 am, with fast locals diverted to the slow lines.
