Nandurbar: A quality cricket stadium will be built in the city, with the state government asked to provide 50% of the funds and the rest to come through the municipal council, MLA Chandrakant Raghuwanshi said. The district has players with the potential to shine in cricket and other sports, and a well-equipped ground for practice would help produce talented players, he said.

Raghuwanshi felicitated meritorious students, teachers and staff at a ceremony held by the Nandurbar Taluka Vidhayak Samiti educational group in memory of its founder chairman, the late Gajmal Tulshiram Patil. Teachers hold the power to shape society's future, and running educational institutions has become challenging, he said, also describing efforts on facilities in ashram schools and merit-based recruitment.

MLA Kishor Darade hoped efforts would be made to scrap the TET-related rules for teachers. MLA Rajesh Padvi called education a means of social change, and MLA Amshya Padvi praised the institution's work.

Former MLA Shirish Chaudhari, municipal council president Ratna Raghuwanshi and former zilla parishad president Bharat Gavit were among those present.
