Nagpur: Star Air has discontinued its direct Nagpur–Kishangarh (Ajmer) flight and decided to run a Nagpur–Pune–Kishangarh service instead, Navarashtra reported. Passengers from Nagpur bound for Kishangarh will now have to fly to Pune and catch an onward flight, leaving fewer direct air options for travellers to Ajmer and the surrounding area, which are reached through Kishangarh airport.

Of the routes Star Air had launched from Nagpur, its Lucknow, Nashik, Chennai, Aurangabad and Belagavi services had already been withdrawn. Nagpur airport now has about 10 domestic and 2 international services. The domestic destinations are Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Pune, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Indore, Goa and Nanded, and the international ones Doha and Sharjah.

Passengers had expected more services and destinations after the GMR group took over the airport's operations, but that expectation of direct connectivity is yet to be met, the report said. For other cities and for travel abroad, passengers depend on connecting flights from Delhi and Mumbai.
