Nashik: To give industry, agri-business and trade in and around Nashik new opportunities to move goods by rail, Central Railway's Bhusawal division has organised a 'Railway Freight and Logistics Industry Outreach Meeting 2026' on Wednesday, October 14. Divisional railway manager Puneet Agrawal will chair it at 10 am in the hall of the IRIEEN institute at Nashik Road.
The railway has invited industrial units, manufacturers, traders, agri-businesses, freight customers and logistics providers to attend. Besides existing customers, businesses that want to start moving goods by rail will learn about the options available.
The meeting will gather suggestions on industries' freight needs, proposed routes and improvements to logistics services. New commodities that could move by rail, new freight routes, logistics connectivity and the railway's facilities and policies will be discussed, and industry representatives can raise their operational problems directly with railway officials.
Nashik district has a large network of industrial production and farm-produce trade. Closer coordination between the railway and industry would make transport costs easier to plan and help farm and industrial products reach new markets, the railway says.
